Overview

Post-AIIN is a specialised qualification designed for seasoned professionals in the insurance industry, specifically Associates and Fellows of the Institute, who wish to pursue a career in loss adjusting. This advanced level of professional development requires candidates to complete three (3) courses, structured across the Foundation, Intermediate and Associateship levels.

PF02 – Insurance Loss Adjusting Practice (Foundation)

Course Aims and Objectives

This course is intended for AIIN holders who intend to specialise in the loss adjusting profession. This study text aims to introduce the fundamentals of loss adjusting in an insurance market that is constantly evolving, and to demonstrate the importance of this profession within the broader insurance industry.

PI02 – Insurance Loss Adjusting Practice (Intermediate)

Course Aims and Objectives

This course is intended for AIIN holders who intend to specialise in the loss adjusting profession and who currently provide loss adjusting services or plan to provide loss adjusting services. The course is built on the assumed knowledge of F01 (Insurance, Legal and Regulatory) and PF02 (Insurance Loss Adjusting Practice (Foundation)) while exposing the candidates to the loss adjusters’ report writing. It is expected that a good comprehension of the course will enable candidates to understand how to professionally present reports on the various classes of insurance that the candidate may be exposed to in the course of working as a licensed loss adjuster.

PA02 – Insurance Loss Adjusting Practice (Associateship)

Course Aims and Objectives

This study text is intended for AIIN holders who are highly experienced in providing loss adjusting services and who are in, or aspire to, senior loss adjusting and management positions. It is built on the assumed knowledge of F01 (Insurance, Legal and Regulatory), I01 (Insurance Law), PF02 (Insurance Loss Adjusting Practice (Foundation) and PI02 (Insurance Loss Adjusting Practice (Intermediate)) while providing knowledge and understanding.

It is also expected that a good comprehension of the course contents will enable the candidates to be able to understand the professional ethics that are required from loss adjusters and all professional members of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.

Entry requirement 

Only Associates and Fellows can apply.

Registration Process 

Register as a member on the website and proceed for the examination registration, also online, on candidate’s individual portal

Payment process

To pay electronically/online. Cost of the course is Foundation – N10,000.00, Intermediate – N15,000.00 and Associate – N20,000.00, while there is a flat non-refundable entry fee of N20,000.00 per examination diet.

Examination procedures

Register, Pay and Sit for the Examination. Compulsory Course to be passed by/accrued through exemption or conversion by the candidate
