About InsurQuest

Redefining Insurance for Young Nigerians

For many young Nigerians, insurance feels distant, complex or simply irrelevant. But the reality is this: insurance sits at the center of how individuals, businesses and economies manage risk and build resilience.

The InsurQuest Insurance Innovation Hackathon was launched in 2025 by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) to change this narrative especially amongst young Nigerians. It was created as a platform to demystify insurance, spark curiosity, unearth top talents and show young people that they can actively shape the future of the industry.

Through a structured, hands-on experience, InsurQuest introduces participants to real challenges within the insurance ecosystem and supports them in building practical, innovative solutions.

Students from any discipline, young professionals (within or outside insurance), individuals interested in solving real-world problems & curious minds willing to learn and build.

No. You are to apply as part of a team.

Minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 with at least one member with insurance knowledge/background.

A 5-7 minute video pitch detailing the background of the applicants, motivation for applying and skills/roles of each participant.

Six (6) teams will be selected to participate in the program.

No. The program is designed to introduce you from the ground up.

Applicants must be between the age of 18 and 29 to be admitted into the program.

  • Demo Day (Insurance Week): 21st May, 2026

Yes, participation is free for selected applicants.
